Easter Times

I'm in New Zealand right now. I was waved off at the airport by the Easter Bunny himself.

And have been wearing this guy proudly.

Easter macarons.

My Mum is quite traditional in waiting until Easter Sunday to give out eggs, so I have been stuffing myself with chocolate today. I sensibly tried to balance the overload with some vege juice.

Happy Easter everyone!

Small Things #3

There's a feijoa tree outside our house and my stash is getting out of control! Must make feijoa chutney soon.

Now that Autumn's here it's time to start thinking about knitting projects.

I am prepared for the coming darker weather now that I've got new lights for my bike. Daylight savings was on April 1st this year, so Mr Meet-Cute took the opportunity to turn all our clocks forward 6 hours. I woke up on Sunday thinking I'd slept in until 4pm. What a prankster!

He made up for the hilarious gag by making hot cross buns. nom!

Easter Treats

I hope everyone had a great Easter! I took a few photos last week before the break. Because my own Keep Cup is one of my favourite things, in an Oprah-like gesture I decided to buy them as Easter presents for Mr Meet-Cute, my Mum and my sister. And I filled them with Easter eggs too, yum!

We had a small get together before I left for NZ, with lots of cake, cups of tea, and Mr Meet-Cute's Hot Cross Buns.

Yum! The cakey aftermath is above left, and above right is a wee succulent plant, a gift from my lovely friend Jennie, thank you!

Kia Ora Auckland!

{All photos from Auckland Street Style (or ASS!) }

I'm off "across the ditch" to Auckland early tomorrow for an Easter holiday. I'm really excited about spending almost a full week in Auckland as I've only ever visited for a few days at a time. So I don't know the city too well, but am looking forward to shopping at Ruby, and visiting my favourite Daiso $3 Japan shop on Queen St, and coffee and lamingtons from Agnes Curran cafe, where I have previously eaten the best lamingtons of my life.

I'd love to hear any Auckland tips if you have some! Happy Easter everyone xxx
