Girls stuff

I'm still thinking about last week's Girls finale. So many great moments! Ray's brutal Desi smackdown was a highlight of the whole series. And Marnie smugly declining Spike Jonze's offer to accompany her on guitar, saying 'I'm pretty good too'. SO GOOD!! How am I going to get through the rest of the year before Season five?

Graphic artist Georgia Perry's new 'Elaine pin' is killing me! The Celebrity Heads range also includes Oprah and Kanye, so it's pretty hard to choose a fave. I'm just having an 'Elaine moment' right now. See the rest here!

Mike Perry + Broad City

I love comedies, and Broad City is my new favourite. Each episode is a hilarious delight! Also delightful is the show's opening sequence, a different one each week by designer Mike Perry.

Happy August

It's the first of August today, so I'm over halfway through what has been the toughest year of my life. I'm hoping things will start to get easier from now on, though I've come to realise that life is always going to be hard once you have a baby. Hopefully it'll be the good kind of hard though.

Here's some awesome Amy Poehler, who always makes me feel better. During some of my darkest times in the hospital watching 5 or 6 episodes of Parks and Recreation in a row always made things better. Leslie Knope is the best!

The 90s are Coming

Graphic designer Mike Wrobel has done a series on Game of Thrones characters as set in the 80s/90s. AMAZING! I can't believe we have to wait a whole year for new epsiodes :-(

Shout out to the corgis

I so enjoyed watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony. I was prepared for there to be lots of boring bits, but then I was utterly entertained by the whole spectacle. Of course I loved the Queens entrance, mostly for the inclusion of her two top corgis.

Not quite a Target ad

There's so much to be said about Girls, but all I will say is this:

• Charlie's apartment is amazing. I'm so impressed with what's been done with this small space. It's genius!
• I can't believe Marnie had never been to his apartment. He should have dumped her ages ago.
• Marnie is my least favourite Girl.
• I'm still thoroughly enjoying watching the show though. With a mixture of giggles, and squirmishness!
