A round up of cute stuff I've seen lately.
Alice Oehr's incredible illustration advertising this screening of one of my fave movies. She totally nailed Molly's awkward expression here!
Studio Home interview Potheads creator Kim Jaeger, and have a poke around her place. I'm really enjoying the artist profiles on this site, they really delve into people's backgrounds and how they got to where they are today.
Bill Murray alphabet by Adelaide Daniell
Dolly's Bust Magazine cover
Maria, of Schorlemaedchen has started a new cooking blog with her partner called Mostly Saturdays. I love her blog, and pretty much 'like' everything she posts on instagram. The new blog is still in it's early days and already I can't get enough.
Enemies Yay poster. This would look so awesome in Ray's room.

The New Smith
I was very happy to get my hands on a copy of the new Smith Journal, from the makers of Frankie magazine. It seems that everyone wants to know why the new magazine isn't named 'Frank', seeing as it's a more masculine version of Frankie - this is what editor-at-large Rick Bannister had to say about that:
"…even though Smith Journal was created by the Frankie team, it’s not simply a male version of it. It’s not the brother of Frankie. It’s different. It’s more like Frankie‘s guy friend. A guy who’s interested in a lot of different stuff to Frankie. (Smith Journal and Frankie would definitely want to hook up though, I reckon, so they had to be from different families, otherwise that would have been weird and wrong)"

Got a Magazine Crush
Got A Girl Crush has introduced me to so many talented ladies, and I've just discovered a whole bunch more after perusing their brand new magazine. I just ordered a hardcopy which is going to take 3-4 weeks to arrive in my mailbox in Aussie, so I have already read most of it by downloading the free pdf - you can do this too, or order a lovely printed edition right here.

Mag Love
New mags!! Grafik magazine which is based in London, and Australia's Desktop both focus on graphic design and print media, and they have both relaunched this month. My workplace has a Desktop subscription, and to be honest I was never really that interested in it, but with the brand new redesign it is just so good looking now!
I love the huge images that bleed off the page, and the content seems a lot broader now too. In the words of new Managing Editor Brendan McKnight "Much has changed, both from a design and content perspective, with not just a focus on finished work, but as the tagline says, 'the culture of design'."
I'd never read Grafik magazine, but I had to buy it when I saw the feature on Mike Perry, one of my most loved artist/designers, interviewing and collaborating with his personal 'Graphic Design Hero' James Victoire.

Monday monday
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was spent reading the new Frankie publication, Spaces, and going on an epic bike ride! I've been dying to get my hands on Spaces, and it did not disappoint. And the bike ride was one of the best things I've ever done - definitely deserving of a post all of it's own, which will be coming soon!
Some Spaces highlights - artist/illustrator Rob Ryan and typographer/designer Jessica Hische showing off her awesome 'type' tattoo. So many talented, creative people in here, I can't recommend it enough!
Sneak peeks from the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail. More coming soon!

Weekend fun
In the weekend I went to this bar, and these markets. I got the new issue of Bust magazine and chuckled at the hilarious Amy Sedaris "Craftercise" photos. I watched Bonnie & Clyde, and ate beetroot and holoumi salad, which was a taste sensation! I saw some cute farm animals at the Collingwood school fair, and explored their amazing kitchen gardens.
And I made this chocolate cream pie - another taste sensation! I should have taken a photo of it but couldn't manage to stop eating long enough to get the camera out - yum!
