Dog Shirts
I still don't have a dog of my own, but I'm thinking next year we'll be able to get one. Until then I'm channelling my dog love into admiration for these new dog shirts from Lazy Oaf .

Cute Stuff #4
Since my last post I've been to New Zealand and back, and moved house. Busy times! I've also spotted these cute things from around the interwebs.
The Winter Harvest Quilt, from Gorman's homeware range. I thought it was cold in New Zealand, but I got back to a freezing Melbourne. Need this to snuggle up under.
I loved seeing all the new season Winter fashion in New Zealand. Since I'm at home a lot now I've been dressing even more for comfort. This trouser/trackpant hybrid from Huffer pleases me.
Weaving whizzes New Friends are making rugs now. Any one of these would be an excellent addition to our new place.
This Hummingbird cake by Julia Busuttil. I had Hummingbird cake at a book club get together a few years ago, and it was so delicious. This reminded me that I've always wanted to make one myself.
I need these sneakers with puppies on them from Keep shoes. Cat lovers, there's a version for you guys too.
Vudu Cafe in Queenstown has this stunner of a vintage photo on the wall, as seen on studiohomeonline. Ray's bedroom in our new place has a window that's been sealed up so I've been mulling over getting a large landscape printed to put in it. My first idea was a tropical beach scene, but now I'm thinking I could use one of the photos I took last week in Queenstown. Fingers crossed that when I get my film developed the pictures look even half as good as this one.

Llama Llama
While everyone in the Northern hemisphere breathes a sigh of relief at the end of a tough Winter, I am rejoicing in the cool change here in Melbourne. I love these months in between the extremes of Winter and Summer, and Autumn is my absolute favourite. I love being able to layer up in tights and cardigans!

Little Tienda
While those of you in the Northern hemisphere have been having a killer Winter, here in Melbourne we've been hit with record breaking heat, with temperatures upwards of 40 degrees. Not my cup of tea at all! In this kind of heat, comfort comes before anything else, but seeing as this is my fourth summer here in Melbourne, I'm starting to try and get a better summer wardrobe together. My favourite things to throw on are light dresses, like these beautiful mexican numbers from Little Tienda. These gorgeous dresses are handmade with love and care by rural artisans in Mexico. Perfect for staying cool and comfortable during scorching days.

Alpha60
On the design files today you can win a $500 voucher to spend at Alpha60, aswell as have a sneak peek inside the designers amaze Melbourne home. I bought this Alpha60 'speckle' print dress last week and I am loving it to death. The print is also available as a skirt, t.shirt, and other dress styles, all of which I have constantly been thinking of going back to get - so my fingers and toes are crossed right now in the hopes of winning!

Summer Style
I always find the change from Winter to Summer dressing rather tricky. I'm most comfortable layering up, and I hate having bare legs. It takes 30 degree plus weather to get me to go without tights! But I love the looks of these summer savvy ladies, so I'll be looking to them for inspiration.

True Prep
House of Maryanne's newest lookbook True Prep makes me want to put on a frock with a nice collar, and potter about inside with a warm cup of tea. All the clothes will be available to buy via Maryanne's online vintage store, which is run through her Facebook page.

ALL ahoy!
Before this Winter ends I'm going to have one of these ALL knitwear beanies on my head. I ordered one last week, after going back and forth over these four top choices. Narrowing it down to just one was so hard!

Winter Wants
A few nice items I've seen around the place.
1. Patent lace ups from Topshop. These were at Karen Walker's Newmarket store when I was in Auckland. Not in my size though. // 2. Hansel from Basel polka dot bag which I did get from Ruby in Newmarket. As I made my purchase I realised I was wearing my Gorman t.shirt that has the exact same polka dotted pattern. Bit embarrassing.
3. The Twentysevennames Katherine dress is a winning combination of pleats + peterpan collar + navy // 4. I need a porridgy jumper like this for slobbing around in this Winter.
5. There are so many good stockings around! This pair are locally made in Melbourne by OKOK. I am sold on their polka dotted good looks, obvs. // 6. PAM Naomi Coat, because you can never have too many Wintery layers.

Obüs Winter
I popped into the Obüs Fitzroy store during the weekend and saw so many nice things. The elbow patch jumpers and cardigans especially won me over (anything with elbow patches generally does).
Obüs have really nailed the whole 'layering for Winter' thing with this collection. Right down to their matching stockings and socks. I would like one of everything please.
