Dog Shirts
I still don't have a dog of my own, but I'm thinking next year we'll be able to get one. Until then I'm channelling my dog love into admiration for these new dog shirts from Lazy Oaf .

Film adventures
I think I mentioned this in an earlier post, but I have had some terrible luck with my film cameras. My Golden Half just upped and stopped working, as did the camera Mr Meet-Cute gave me for Christmas. Sad, but I'm still hoping I can fix them one day. In the meantime, Mr Meet-Cute found me an ace new/old camera in a junk shop in the Yarra Valley, and these are the results from the first test roll - Not bad!

These first photos were all taken at TarraWarra Museum of Art and the TarraWarra Winery. It was such a beautiful day, we really picked a good one for heading out of town.

These are from some wanderings round the neighbourhood.
It even works indoors! So goddamn pleased.

Sydney Weekend!
A while ago I visited one of my best pals in Sydney for the weekend. All my film cameras are broken so I got a disposable camera to document the trip.
Sydney dogs! Being so patient.
This out of focus roast pork roll was amazing.
Sydney view, from a really pretty park.
The really pretty park was also really fancy because it had this pond full of huge carp.
Martin Place in the city. We arrived here mere minutes after a huge protest that had turned into a riot. True story.
We ate some amazing food during the weekend, including my Sydney 'must-have' Gelato Messina.
We'd just given this guy lots of pats, so I don't know what the sad side-eye is about.
Fresh coconut water was a great start to the day.
This was at a cafe called Bird and Bear, which was beautiful and very 'Sydney'.

Shout out to the corgis
{pic from here}
I so enjoyed watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony. I was prepared for there to be lots of boring bits, but then I was utterly entertained by the whole spectacle. Of course I loved the Queens entrance, mostly for the inclusion of her two top corgis.

Wondering Around Wandering
Mike Perry is one of my favourites, so I jumped at the chance to support his new kickstarter project Wondering Around Wandering. The Brooklyn based artist is hoping to fund a three month free community space and gallery, where he'll hold open workshops, discussions and screenings - you really need to watch the video to get the whole idea. Plus the video features two of the cutest dogs ever (they killed me!)

Tails from the Fishbowl

Photographer and animal lover Rachel Bellinsky's new book Tails from the Fishbowl documents the little animal faces spied while she walks her dog in their Southern California neighbourhood.
In the apartment next door to mine lives an old golden labrador who often spends his days on the balcony peering out over the street. We call him 'Perve Dog', and it's always a good day when we see him at his post.

Dogs Inside
Dogs Inside is my 'tumblr on the side'. If you like interiors and/or dogs then please take a look. I always think I'll run out of good photos of cute dogs in interesting interiors, but of course I never do. The internet - there's quite a lot on here.
Here are a couple of my recent favourites.

In the Woods
Dreamy behind the scenes photos by Clever Nettle's Anya Verdugo, taken in the Washington woods during a photoshoot for Portland store Eden. I love all those friendly dogs hanging round, just chillin'.
More of Anya's amazing photos can be seen here on Clever Nettle. I can't wait to see the official photos once they're released, there is something really magical about those woods.

Dogs in Hats
Just some dogs in hats to end the week on. Seen here. If only more 'people clothes' looked this good being modelled by dogs - think of the possibilities! Thinking about dog models reminds me of my family's old dog Jazz (short for Jasmine), and how my mum would text me saying things like Just took Jazzy to the dog groomers. She looks like a SUPERMODEL!!
So there you go - dogs in hats, and a silly story to end the week. Happy weekend everyone!
