Easter Holiday

I was in New Zealand last week spending the Easter break in Auckland.

Everyone kept talking about how amazing the weather was after having a pretty crappy summer. I enjoyed this because the weather was stunning, and also because I have turned into one of those people who talks about the weather all the time.

I went to La Cigale French Markets where there were delicious treats everywhere I turned.

You just can't beat a New Zealand style flat white. I once controversially proclaimed that Wellington does better coffee than Melbourne - people are pretty defensive about such proclamations but I stand by this. There are so many great cafes in Auckland such as Shaky Isles - which has lovely hand drawn typography all round the walls.

… and I can't visit Auckland without going to Agnes Curran. Still obsessed with their best ever lamingtons.

Next door to Agnes Curran is Pencil Boutique. I bought a few of their Bedrock Bones hair bands which I'll be giving as gifts to friends for some time. *spoiler alert to anyone I know with a birthday soon*

Apparently flat whites are becoming a bit of a trend around these parts. I'll have to give one a try!
